Body Massage
Deep, intuitive, unhurried — the kind of session you sleep eleven hours after.
The Session
This is the work I built in New York over twenty years — remedial massage that is genuinely deep but never generic. It begins with a short conversation and an assessment: where you’re holding, what your body has been carrying, whether we’re chasing a specific knot or simply letting the whole system down-shift.
From there I work with pressure that meets your tissue rather than fighting it. I draw on myofascial release, cupping and reflexology as the body asks, following the tension instead of a fixed routine. A back that has been braced for months doesn’t need force so much as patience — steady, listening hands that let it decide it’s safe to release.
The aim is always the same: to bring you into a parasympathetic state, where true healing takes place. Somewhere in the hour the breath drops, the shoulders come down off the ears, and the nervous system finally lets go. That’s the session people tell me they sleep eleven hours after. Release, ease, and space.

As deep as your body wants, and no deeper. I trained in genuinely remedial work, so I can go firm and specific when tissue needs it — but deep doesn’t have to mean painful. I check in as we go and adjust. Some people want to be worked hard; others need the nervous system coaxed rather than pushed. Both are welcome.

Always. You undress to your comfort in private, and you stay covered with a sheet throughout — I only uncover the area I'm working on, one part at a time. Your comfort and privacy set the terms, and you can keep any layers on that you'd like to.

At present I'm not set up for private health-fund rebates, so sessions aren't claimable — please book as a private appointment.

Come a few minutes early so you're not rushing in, and wear something comfortable. Try not to arrive on a very full stomach. Afterwards, drink plenty of water, move gently, and give yourself a soft landing if you can — this is the work people sleep long and deep after.

It depends on what you're working with. For a specific issue, a run of sessions a week or two apart makes real progress; for maintenance and stress, once a month keeps the body ahead of the tension. We'll find a rhythm that suits your body and your life — there's no pressure to over-book.
